Cedarwood Essential Oil
Cedarwood oil has been used since ancient times, King Solomon used wood made from Cedarwood trees in his great temples. Is said to be one of the first oils distilled.
It provides a calming and soothing effect on the energy centers, helping to aid in relaxation and expel feelings of anger and fear. This oil also has antiseptic and fungicidal properties, and can improve respiratory illnesses and congestion.
Cedarwood oil can be combined with massage oils, added to a bath, or inhaled. It can be applied directly to the skin to soothe wounds, bug bites, and burns. Add a few drops to your favorite cleansers and shampoos to combat oiliness. When using for respiratory illnesses, add a few drops to steaming water and inhale. To create a soothing bath, combine five drops of cedarwood oil, four drops of lavender oil, and two drops of sandalwood with two pounds of salt. If you prefer a salt scrub, lessen the amount of salt to one pound.
